Steve Lutz has taken Oklahoma State men's basketball to new heights in his first season, and today marked yet another accolade for his team.
The Cowboys earned the Academic Team Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Thursday, giving the team its second recognition in three years. The honor is given to teams posting a 3.00 GPA or higher in a given season – OSU exceeded that mark with a 3.14 in the fall and 3.51 this spring.
On top of the team's success, six Cowboys found themselves on the NABC Honors Court, setting a program best.
