Are the Cowboys the Big 12’s sleeper for the 2015-16 men’s basketball season?
Jon Rothstein over at CBS Sports sure thinks so.
In a column posted on July 31 entitled “5 Offseason Questions of the Big 12,” Rothstein laid out his reasons as to why the Cowboys might sneak up on the conference next season:
Travis Ford has quietly gotten to Cowboys to five NCAA Tournaments in his seven years in Stillwater, and just like last season, his team is starting the season in the shadows. That’s just fine with Oklahoma State. Two years ago this program was deemed a Final Four contender early in the preseason and history has proven that Ford does his best work when he has to coach with an edge.
