Friday, the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team announced hired Cowboy assistant coach Mike Boynton as the 20th head basketball coach in the university’s history.

Former Cowboy coach Brad Underwood hired Boynton to his staff before the 2016-17 season. Before that, Boynton spent three seasons with Underwood at Stephen F. Austin.
“The players and staff really respect him," a source close to the team said in a text message.
