Cowboy tennis extends winning-streak against Wichita State

Minutes before the first serve, the Cowboys anticipated playing an outdoor match only to scrap their game plans before heading indoors.

Despite an 85-degree day in Stillwater, the Oklahoma State men’s tennis team played Wichita State inside the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center because of heavy winds. Seventh-ranked OSU ultimately defeated the Shockers, 4-0, completing its eighth shutout of the season.

Arjun Kadhe, a senior, said he and his teammates prepared physically and mentally for an outdoor matchup. Discovering he would compete indoors, Kadhe said he had to change his tennis mindset and strategy.

“Outdoors, there is a lot of wind, so you have to be prepared to play some bad points,” Kadhe said.
