OKLAHOMA CITY – When Christian Funk stepped up to bat, the Oklahoma State baseball team had one half inning to rescue itself from elimination.

Funk struck out swinging.

Then Trevor Boone lined out to left field, where Texas Tech’s Grant Little leaped in the air and made a diving catch, somersaulting as he robbed the Cowboys of another chance.

With Michael Neustifter’s groundout to second base, a quick throw to first extinguished OSU’s last hope of pursuing a second straight Big 12 Championship.

The Red Raiders rolled past the Cowboys 6-2 on Thursday afternoon at Bricktown Ballpark, and it wasn’t a new feeling for second-seeded OSU.
