STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s athletic department is pitching in with the COVID-19 research being done on campus.
The Cowboys are helping transport coronavirus samples by providing ice for coolers from concession stands at various facilities, including Boone Pickens Stadium.
“Thanks to Kyle Waters and the athletic department, we now have a steady flow of ice,” facilities manager for the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Patrick Wheeler said in a release.
OSU has a COVID-19 testing lab on campus. More than 1,000 samples are being delivered each day.
“These are unprecedented times and we’re glad to play a part in helping doctors and scientists as they work toward finding solutions,” OSU athletic director Mike Holder said in a release.
