There was a bit of controversy in the wrestling community this weekend as ScrapLife, a wrestling apparel and clothing company, posted this to the companies official Facebook account this weekend.
Naturally, the post was met with a lot of criticism. Initially the company claimed they were hacked, then later they released the following statement, which has now been removed from their social media pages:
Following the initial Facebook post and this release, 2019 NCAA Champion Anthony Ashnault announced that he would be cutting ties with the organization.
Shortly after Ashnault’s announcement, former Cowboy All-American, Daniel Cormier, announced he would cover any money Ashnault would be walking away from.
