Coppell, Texas safety Jonathan McGill, a three-star prospect in the 2019 classification, named Oklahoma State as one of six finalists in a tweet over the weekend. Stanford, Texas Tech, Washington State, SMU and Cal-Berkeley rounded out his list.
McGill is a two-way receiver/safety whom OSU is recruiting as a safety. The Cowboys offered him a scholarship in early June with hopes that his confidence in his own game and production in high school will translate to the next level seamlessly.
“I feel like my instincts and ball skills are real high, and my football IQ,” McGill told 247Sports.
