Cisse Named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, Anderson Makes Third Team

For the third time in program history, the Cowboys have a Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

Moussa Cisse was one of three Big 12 defenders to pick up the honor, the league announced Sunday, joining Baylor’s Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua and West Virginia’s Gabe Osabuohien. OSU junior guard Avery Anderson was also named to the All-Big 12 Third team.

Cisse joins Marcus Dove (2007 and 2008) as the only Cowboys to earn the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Year honor.

Cisse dominated the Big 12’s blocks leaderboard this season. He stuffed 54 shots. Kalib Boone was actually in second in the league, stuffing 33 shots.
