Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard has only played two seasons for the Cowboys, but he’s made his mark in history.
Hubbard eclipsed the 2,000-yard rushing mark in a season in the second quarter of the Texas Bowl against Texas A&M on Friday at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Hubbard is only the second player in OSU history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season, joining Barry Sanders, who had an NCAA record 2,850 yards during his 1988 Heisman Trophy winning season. Hubbard is the 32nd player in NCAA history and the fourth running back in three years to reach the milestone, joining Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor (2,194) in 2018 and San Diego State’s Rashaad Penny (2,248) and Stanford’s Bryce Love (2,118) in 2017.
