Cade Cunningham, Trae Young Score Combined 71 Points in Epic Regular-Season Battle

Former Cowboy Cade Cunningham put on a show Friday night on the hardwood against the Atlanta Hawks. Former Sooner Trae Young, though, got the final word.

The two combined to score for 71 points and 20 assists in a head-to-head regular-season battle that took place in Detroit, home of Cunningham and the Pistons. Young’s Hawks took home the win, 136-112 after pulling away in the second half.

Cunningham scored a career-high 35 points in the losing effort and had eight assists and nine rebounds to boot, just shy of a 30+ point triple-double. Early in the game he even picked Young’s pocket clean at the top of the key for an easy layup on the other end.
