Cabbiness, Standlee lead Cowboys to victory against No. 8 Arizona State

Cade Cabbiness gave the Oklahoma State baseball team’s offense the push it needed against Arizona State.

The Cowboys defeated the Sun Devils 2-1 on Tuesday night in Phoenix. After losing its opening series against Grand Canyon University, No. 24 OSU redeemed itself with the victory against eighth-ranked Arizona State.

Cabbiness, a senior right fielder, was responsible for both of OSU’s RBI. In the top of the second inning, Cabbiness hit a single through the left side, and senior left fielder Carson McCusker crossed home plate to get the Cowboys on the board. OSU (2-2) extended its lead to 2-0 when Cabbiness crushed a home run to right field in the fourth inning.
