CHOCTAW – Bo Duren liked to have fun.
His junior year at Carl Albert, the year he didn’t play football, Duren was in the stands with the spirit squad, wearing a coconut bra and cheering on the Titans. His senior year at Jones, Duren was dancing on a barstool in the locker room, leading his new teammates, after a scrimmage.
They say Duren was doing the same thing down at East Central University, where he was a baseball player and turning the grind of the college athletic schedule — classes, practice, weights, study hall, repeat — into opportunities for impromptu dance parties.
