It was an eventful Week 3 for the Big 12 that included some close finishes, some blowouts and a grim realization.

The Bears have been holding tryouts for a couple of the not-so-realistic Big 12 expansion candidates. In Week 2, Baylor dismantled SMU 40-13. This past week brought a similar result against Rice.
Just like every year at this time, we know little about Baylor heading into conference play. Even with Jim Grobe at the helm, Baylor still runs the same offense and can still put up numbers.
