The Pac-12 and Big Ten have already announced plans to shift their 2020 football seasons to conference-only in recent weeks, and two more Power Five conferences are also heading that direction.
On Wednesday, the ACC announced its plan to have teams play only one nonconference game that is either at home or in-state. ACC teams will also play 10 conference games, and Notre Dame will be added to the conference and be eligible to compete for an ACC championship this season.
Games involving ACC teams can begin the week of Sept. 7-12, originally scheduled to be Week 2 of the college football season.
