Chris Young shared an old college tennis coach’s adage.
“The lineup (in the spring) makes itself based on how kids play in the fall,” said Young, the OSU women’s tennis coach.
The Cowgirls played in their second tournament of the fall season last weekend in Arkansas at the ITA Central Regionals. Fall college tennis tournaments are more about individual results rather than team results, and several Cowgirls used the tournament last weekend to show why they will be heavy hitters in the lineup in the fall.
Young said the play of sophomore Ayumi Miyamoto stuck out to him.
