Hello Seattle, Kaden Polcovich is a Mariner.
The Mariners selected the Oklahoma State second baseman in the third round (No. 78 overall) in MLB Draft on Thursday. The MLB shortened its draft from 40 rounds to five due to the coronavirus.
Polcovich hit .344 with two home runs and drove in 21 runs in only 18 games for OSU, his first after transferring from Northwest Florida State Junior College. The 5-foot-10, 195-pounder also showed off his speed on the basepaths with eight stolen bases on nine attempts at OSU.
Prior to his time in Stillwater, he hit 15 home runs and drove in 56 runs.
