Oklahoma State continued an early trend for its 2019 recruiting class Monday, landing the commitment of defensive tackle Jayden Jernigan.

With Jernigan's commitment, more than half of OSU's 2019 commits are defensive linemen. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds, Jernigan, out of Allen High School in Texas, is a 3-star prospect and is the Class of 2019's No. 33 defensive tackle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Jernigan, who visited Stillwater from the Cowboys' spring game April 28, committed to OSU over offers from 16 other programs. Big 12 foes Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Texas Tech were among his other offers.
