The entire Oklahoma State wrestling team will start the Big 12 Wrestling Tournament with some rest.
The Cowboys are favorites to win their sixth consecutive conference tournament title this weekend in Tulsa with all of their wrestlers getting first-round byes when brackets were released Monday. Action starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, concluding with finals at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Three OSU wrestlers earned No. 1 seeds at their respective weights. Nick Piccininni, Preston Weigel and Derek Weight are atop their brackets Piccininni and Weigel are defending champions at 125 and 197 pounds, respectively.
Kaid Brock and Dean Heil will compete in the toughest brackets in the tournament at 133 and 141 pounds, respectively.
