Former Oklahoma State quarterback Taylor Cornelius will get the chance to continue his professional career in the XFL.
Cornelius was among seven players with Oklahoma ties added to the league’s draft pool. Tuesday was the second day of announcements adding players to the pool for Friday’s draft.
Another former Cowboy, tight end Keenen Brown, was among the group as well. Brown moved to Texas State as a graduate transfer last season.
Norman native and Oklahoma receiver Ryan Broyles headed a list of three former Sooners, along with receiver Jalen Saunders and defensive lineman Emmanuel Beal.
East Central offensive tackle Kevin Bowen and Southern Nazarene linebacker Ruben Demosthene were also on Tuesday’s list.
