UCLA transfer Murray ready to bolster OU line

NORMAN — OU offensive lineman Chris Murray, who transferred from UCLA in the offseason, recently was declared eligible by the NCAA, Sooners coach Lincoln Riley confirmed Tuesday.

Murray, a junior, started 24 games over the past two seasons for the Bruins including a pair of games against the Sooners.

He started three games at center in 2018 before moving to guard for the rest of his UCLA career. Last season, he helped UCLA to five consecutive 200-yard rushing games, the first such streak in program history since 1978.

Murray was at Saturday’s game against Texas, but did not dress out.
