NORMAN — Brenna Dowell’s gymnastics career will end in two months.
But the Oklahoma senior will be forever tied to the sport.
“To leave the sport with your name on something means you’ve made it,” Sooners coach K.J. Kindler said. “You’ve done it. You’ve reached a level that a lot of people have never reached.
“It’s very difficult to do. People have done so many things.”
Dowell has “The Dowell,” a forward double pike somersault, named after her in the gymnastics code of points.
