Texas, Oklahoma governors poke fun at 'Horns down' controversy on Twitter

Now the governors are involved.

Amid the backlash mounting over the Big 12's decision to penalize Oklahoma players who use the "Horns down" gesture during Saturday's rematch with the Longhorns in the Big 12 championship game, Texas governor Greg Abbott and Oklahoma governor-elect Kevin Stitt decided to have some fun on Twitter in light of the controversy.

I’m with the newly elected Governor of Oklahoma. Obviously we have a difference of opinion about the game this weekend. #HookEm u2066@UTAustinu2069 @StittforGovu2069 #Longhorns pic.twitter.com/k7oKIRwk4a
