Times are tough in Austin, Texas. This Longhorn football season has gone south.
Texas opened the season ranked 10th in the nation. Today, the Longhorns are tied for fifth – in the Big 12 standings, with one week to go. UT is 6-5 overall, 4-4 in conference, and needs a home victory over Texas Tech on Friday to assure the ‘Horns of a winning record.
Texas lost 24-10 at Baylor last Saturday, and the only Longhorn touchdown came with one second left in the game. On the Big 12 teleconference Monday, UT coach Tom Herman was asked if he worries about the Longhorns losing faith.
