CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Stanford narrowly defeated Oklahoma to win the NCAA men's gymnastics championship on Saturday at State Farm Center.
Stanford recorded a team score of 415.222 to capture its sixth national title.
The Sooners — who were attempting to win their fifth straight championship — had a 414.556, followed by Nebraska (407.489), Michigan (406.354), Illinois (405.358) and Penn State (399.725).
The meet was decided on the final rotation, and a costly fall from the top gymnast in the country sealed OU's fate.
Yul Moldauer, one of the most decorated gymnasts in Sooner history, stumbled on high bar.
