OU might not've been happy with the coaches' All-Big 12 released last week, but the Sooners received a bit more consideration on The Associated Press All-Big 12 team released Thursday.
Quarterback Spencer Rattler and defensive lineman Isaiah Thomas, two of the players who didn't make the coaches' team, were both on the AP first team. The team is selected by beat writers, sportscasters and broadcasters from around the league.
Rattler wasn't on either of the coaches' teams, finishing behind Iowa State's Brock Purdy and Texas' Sam Ehlinger. Purdy was a second-team AP choice.
Rattler has thrown for 2,784 yards, 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
