Sooners pick up second defensive commitment in two days

NORMAN — All of the sudden, Tennessee is becoming a recruiting hotbed for Oklahoma.

For the second consecutive year, the Sooners picked up a commitment from the top recruit from the state when defensive end Reggie Grimes announced his commitment Thursday.

Grimes (6-foot-5, 240 pounds) picked OU over a group of offers that included Alabama, Florida State and South Carolina.

The Brentwood Ravenwood product is the No. 2 weakside defensive end in the 2020 class according to Rivals.

Grimes' commitment was the second in as many days for the Sooners.
