Sooners pick up commitment from three-star defensive end

NORMAN — The second of three Labor Day eyeballs from Lincoln Riley has been accounted for.

Webster Groves (Missouri) defensive end Noah Arinze announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Friday, the day before the Sooners face South Dakota.

Arinze (6-foot-5, 236 pounds) had offers that included Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, Missouri and Texas among others.

He's the 17th commitment of the 2020 class for the Sooners and the first defensive end.

Arinze joins offensive lineman Anton Harrison in committing to the Sooners after taking a weekend visit to watch Oklahoma face Houston.
