Maggie Nichols stepped onto the stage at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on Wednesday at didn't say a word.
Her actions had been loud enough.
The University of Oklahoma gymnast was honored along with more than 100 survivors for their bravery speaking out about the abuse she and hundreds suffered at the hands of former USA gymnastics and Michigan State team doctor Larry Nassar.
Nichols was among a group that received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ESPN's annual sports award show, the ESPYs.
The award pays tribute to those who find ways through sports to make a difference far beyond the field of play and impact the world in incredible ways.
