This loss can't be understated. Sooners defensive lineman Charles Walker has been ruled out of the Orange Bowl with a concussion. The concussion was suffered on Monday. Carey Murdock of Soonerscoop.com tweeted it out a few moments ago with the following tweet.
Was holding until kickoff as source requested earlier this week but DT Charles Walker suffered concussion MON and will miss #OrangeBowl.

The Sooners had seemingly avoided the injury bug, but it has inevitably caught up with them. The Sooners will now need an even bigger game from starter Matt Dimon and reserve DJ Ward.
