Sooners' bats come alive in bounce back win over Kansas State to avoid elimination in Big 12 Tournament

Alec Hansen settled in on the mound, Oklahoma got comfortable at the plate and the Sooners’ baseball season is alive for at least one more day.

Oklahoma beat Kansas State 13-7 in a Big 12 Tournament elimination game Thursday at Bricktown Ballpark.

The Sooners (29-26-1) will face the loser of Thursday night’s game between Texas Tech and West Virginia at 3:15 p.m. Friday.

Hansen, the Sooners’ talented but mercurial right-hander, had a rough start. He hit the first two batters he faced and a couple batters later, both came around to score to put Oklahoma in a hole.
