Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was all over the field on Saturday, contributing 572 of the Sooners’ 773 total offensive yards. On Monday he was rewarded for his outstanding individual performance, being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Mayfield’s offensive performance vs. Tulsa set a new Sooner football record for total individual yards in a single game and is the most this season for any player on an FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) team.
In addition to his career-high 487 passing yards, completing 32 of 38 pass attempts and throwing for four touchdowns.
