Back in May, when asked about the West Virginia-VT showdown at the Redskins' FedEx Field to open the 2017 season, the Mountaineer football coach told reporters “we have the Black Diamond Trophy and I expect to keep it.”
Only trouble is, the Hokies have the hardware. Virginia Tech beat West Virginia in their most recent game, but forgive Holgorsen.
