The Ryan twins spotted a familiar face from the old days and wanted to know just one thing.
“What happened to defense around here?” Rob Ryan asked.
Chimed in Rex Ryan, “I watched the LSU game. Can they please play more than one or two coverages?”
Yes, the Ryan brothers were back, as bold and as fun as they were 22 years ago, when they were on opposite sides of Bedlam football and indeed made defense a source of pride in both Norman and Stillwater.
Their father, the late Buddy Ryan, is among the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame 2020 class, which was honored Tuesday at a luncheon in the Bud Wilkinson Events Center.
