Report: Oklahoma set to hire Missouri linebackers coach Brian Odom

Oklahoma is reportedly set to hire a new defensive coach to join coordinator Alex Grinch's staff. Brian Odom, Missouri's outside linebackers coach, will reportedly accept a similar role at OU, according to Rivals.

Odom, a former all-state running back from Ada, played two seasons at OU as a walk-on. He was on Oklahoma's 2000 national championship team.

Odom has been working for his brother, Barry Odom, on Missouri's staff for the last two seasons.

He spent one season as a defensive quality control assistant at Washington State, working with Grinch, from 2015-16.

Grinch was hired as Oklahoma's defensive coordinator on Jan.
