Report: Georgia QB Justin Fields to transfer, could Oklahoma be potential landing spot?

According to a report from USA Today, Georgia backup quarterback Justin Fields has notified the school he intends to transfer.

The Bulldogs have yet to publicly acknowledge Fields' intent to look elsewhere.

With Oklahoma's success with transfer quarterbacks — and with a void of experience at the position next year — the Sooners are one of the first teams mentioned whenever a high-profile quarterback decides to transfer.

Fields would certainly fit the bill. He was the No. 2 overall recruit in the nation last year according to Rivals.com.

He played in 12 games this year, but couldn't find a consistent role behind starter Jake Fromm.
