OU women's basketball: Sooners struggling to find leadership

NORMAN — About an hour and a half after Wednesday’s home loss to Iowa State, Oklahoma’s players were still in the locker room meeting.

On a team whose top seven scorers and minutes contributors are freshman and sophomores and with only two seniors on the roster, the Sooners are not only short on experience but short on leadership.

Heading into Monday’s Bedlam game at Lloyd Noble Center (8 p.m., FS1), sophomore Ana Llanusa is looking as much like a leader as anyone.

After missing 10 games earlier this season and easing her way back to action early in Big 12 play, the guard from Choctaw has led the Sooners in scoring for seven consecutive games, averaging 26.
