STILLWATER — The day before Oklahoma took on Oklahoma State for the final Bedlam of the regular season, junior center Vionise Pierre-Louis said the Sooners needed effort plays to beat the Cowgirls.
Those effort plays would indeed be important, but it was the responsive plays that truly made the difference in OU's 66-60 win.
“Maddie had a turnover one time and then immediately came down and knocked down a 3,” OU coach Sherri Coale said. “It was one of those plays that said 'I'm going to respond in the right way.'
“Then key stops, they make a couple of baskets and we have to get stops, and we're able to do that.
