When Kaylon Williams tells people that she wants to be a social worker after college, she generally receives the same response.
“That's great,” they'll say, “but … do you realize what you're getting yourself into?”
The answer to that is yes, Williams does, although she certainly recognizes that there will be some dark days in such a career.
“I know it's going to be hard,” Williams said. “I know there are going to be things that I'm not going to like. But I'm passionate about helping kids, and I'm going to do everything in my power to help the situation and help the kids get out of that situation.
