NORMAN — OU's women's basketball team was selected as the Play4Kay National Division I BCS winner, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund announced Friday.
Sooners players independently gave $2,500 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund over the course of last season and the donations were presented before OU's Feb. 16 Play4Kay game.
OU coach Sherri Coale has been a member of the Kay Yow Cancer Fun Board of Directors since 2012 and Coale was the recipient of the 2019 Impact Award, honoring an individual or organization "exemplifying Coach Yow's spirit, reflecting her resolve, grace, genosity, and servant's heart.
