OU women's basketball: Rough third quarter sinks Sooners against Texas A&M

Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale sat down for her postgame news conference and summed it up pretty effectively.

“I just thought we had a really bad third quarter,” Coale said. “There's something for the obvious eye, huh?”

Texas A&M beat the Sooners 74-68 in the second game of Sunday's Big 12/SEC Challenge inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, using a 25-3 second-half run to turn a 10-point OU lead into an insurmountable advantage for itself.

For the Sooners (9-2), the loss snapped an eight-game winning streak.

Oklahoma jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead with 3-pointers from starting guards Derica Wyatt and Gabbi Ortiz, and defended the Aggies effectively throughout the first half.
