NORMAN — Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale came away from Sunday's 78-68 loss at No. 4 Baylor very impressed with senior forward Kaylon Williams.
The Midwest City native played a season-high 31 minutes against the Bears, scoring 11 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
“She played 31 minutes against crazy size,” Coale said. “Not just against one guy, but they ran three at her and just alternated them. She played 31 minutes.
“She was poised and tough and she battled. Did she play perfectly? No. Did she make some mistakes? Absolutely. But her mental fortitude and her toughness revealed to me great growth in her as an individual player.
