LEXINGTON, Ky. — Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale is not one to look forward to the next season while her team grieves over the end of the prior one.
"You're sitting on the broken pieces of kids right now, and they're disappointed," she said. "Right now, my main job is to get through the disappointment."
Still, optimism abounds with OU women's basketball in 2016-2017.
Senior forward Kaylon Williams is the only rotational player who is graduating.
Williams' backup, Vionise Pierre-Louis, struggled to score in the first half but was a key to OU's third-quarter spurt Monday as well as the first round win over Purdue on Saturday.
