NORMAN — Oklahoma sophomore point guard and team captain Gabbi Ortiz sat to the right of her coach Monday evening, listening as Sherri Coale described her frustration with the team following a loss to No. 4 Baylor that was completely winnable.
The Sooners shot 35.6 percent from the field and missed 19 layups in the loss.
“Obviously it's not something you want to hear or feel, but looking back, we deserved it,” Ortiz said of listening to Coale's postgame news conference. “I know how angry, frustrated, disappointed the coaches were in us. We really didn't have any excuse to say anything about that.
