FORT WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma women’s gymnastics coach K.J. Kindler could see the signs everywhere this week.
Signs that Dave Richardson, the husband of the team’s trainer Jenn Richardson, was watching over the Sooners.
So in the moments after Brenna Dowell’s vault sealed — officially — Oklahoma’s third national title in four seasons, Kindler looked over and saw Jenn and her young daughter Joie celebrating through tears, she lost it.
“When I saw her, I was out for the count,” Kindler said. “We see signs all the time — just bizarre things that you wouldn’t normally see or recognize.
