Bedlam basketball will be televised in Spanish for the first time when Oklahoma and Oklahoma State meet at 1 p.m. on Jan. 5 in Norman.
Sooner football games have been broadcast over Spanish radio the last two seasons, but this will be the first time OU has produced a Spanish television broadcast.
“This is our next step in creating an inclusive environment that makes it easy for fans to engage our program,” athletics director Joe Castiglione said. “We launched Spanish radio and a Spanish Twitter account so advancing into television is a logical move. This is an exciting time for us and we’re thrilled that we have the people and resources to continue this relationship.
