OU softball: Time, TV channel announced for Women's College World Series opener

The schedule is set for Oklahoma's opening game in the Women's College World Series.

No. 1 seed OU and No. 8 seed Alabama will face off at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium. ESPN2 will have the broadcast.

It will be the seventh meeting between the Sooners and Crimson Tide in the Women's College World Series.

OU is making its 13th trip to the WCWS, and its eighth in the last nine years.
