OU softball: Sooners fall to North Texas in first home loss of season

NORMAN — OU lost to North Texas 4-3 on Saturday afternoon in the Sooners' first home loss of the season.

The Sooners (13-4) attacked first, scoring two runs in the first inning off a UNT error and a single from Elam. But the Mean Green (15-3) responded, scoring in the second a third innings to take the lead.

Sophomore outfielder Grace Green brought in sophomore shortstop Grace Lyons in the fourth to tie the game at 3. North Texas put another run on the board in the sixth inning to take back the lead and hold on to it the rest of the game.
