OU softball: Mariah Lopez transfers to Arizona

Former Oklahoma pitcher Mariah Lopez will transfer to Arizona for her senior season, Arizona coach Mike Candrea announced Tuesday night.

Lopez, Oklahoma's all-time leader in career winning percentage (.962), will leave the Sooners with a 51-2 record and 1.61 ERA in three seasons. Her 8.42 strikeouts per seven innings ranked fourth in program history. Opponents hit .191 against her — the 10th-best mark in program history.

"I'm excited to welcome Mariah to the Wildcat family," Candrea said in a release. "She's a great fit on our team and will make an excellent addition to our already accomplished pitching staff.
