NORMAN — OU's men's basketball team might open its season this week, but it won't be against Florida.
The Sooners and Gators, who were scheduled to play Wednesday in Norman, have mutually agreed to cancel that game and have pushed the start of their home-and-home series to next season, OU announced.
It's the third game the Sooners have had wiped out to start the season, beginning with the Nov. 25 game against Texas-San Antonio and Saturday at Central Florida.
OU paused organized team activities on the same day it was scheduled to open the season due to positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing among the team.
